Hi. I purchased HP Laptop last year and now I would like to open it to clean the fans as they cought lots of dust and at the same time expand the storage by adding second SSD. Can I do it myself without loosing the guarantee? Thank you.

You can do a cleaning and hardware upgrade, but if you damage something, your standard 1-year warranty may be voided.
If you need to file a warranty claim down the road, you must put back original hardware, so you need to save the parts you may replace.

Screws you need to remove to open the bottom cover may be hidden under the rubber feet in your notebook.
Tiny top and bottom clips are latched together very tight on all four sides of the notebook, and it can be tricky to remove the bottom cover.
It is best to have a service manual and possibly disassembly tutorial video in hand before doing the job. If you need them, provide the product number or model number of your notebook and I can look them up.
Good luck for your project.
