I'm looking to upgrade my laptop ,  does socket accept intel i7-2630QM ?

Hello, it is a laptop so difficult to replace the CPU.. 

 

In your maintenance and service guide, page 22, I see the Core i7-2630QM is not indicates compatible with your PC: 

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03094322

 

However, Core i7-2620m was soled in similar PC, and have the same TDP (maximum power consumption) so if you really want to disassemble your laptop and try the replacement, you have more chance with the 2620m.
