Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hallo,

Looking for suggestions regarding the different types of motherboards, which are compatible with Hp pavilion n208tx model chassis. Currently, it has i5 4th gen and Nvidia gt740 m graphics. I want to upgrade this. But not sure which motherboard is suitable. I have a graphics card for the desktop. I will connect that externally to my laptop. But mainly I want to upgrade my motherboard, CPU, and also ram from ddr3 to ddr4.

Which motherboard is suitable? where can I buy it?

Hi,

On page 68 of the service manual you can see the various compatible motherboards in that series of notebooks.

So, you actually already have the most powerful one with dedicated graphics. There is one that has a slightly more powerful CPU (Core i7-4500U) but does not have dedicated graphics.

Basically no upgrade is possible or worth it.

hope it helps,
