Finally i ordered a new motherboard (P/N :01013y000-600-g) compatible with hp G62/G72 pc without the AMD/ATI chip. AND i mounted n Intel I7-640M pocessor on it. (for cost reasons i decided against modfying the card equipped with the graphical chip AMD/ATI).

During the first tries with this new motherboard and processor I7, the pc stops after between 5 or 15 minutes; probably an overheating problem. On this new motherboard i inserted the same cooling device which was shipped with the pentium p6100 processor.

on some forums i read that for I7 processor the cooling device ought to be more efficient and then changed.

This morning i made more tries with a cooling table below the pc and during the OCCT cpu tests the CPU temperature reached sometimes 85°c. (i noticed that the data refered only for 2 cpu and not 4 normally shipped with I7).

Can you confirm me if i have to change the cooling device for another and if it's the case with which one?

are the temperatures recorded normal for an I7?
