It CAN be done.

Service Manual

Your processor is second to the best for that system. You could install a

AMD® A10-4600M processor (3.2 GHz/2.3 GHz, 1600 MHz/4 MB L2 cache,
DDR3, quad core, 35W)

This would bump you from 2.8 to 3.2 ghz and would improve the APU video system from Radeon HD 7640G to 7660G. These are small bumps not game changers but would be noticeable. The A10-4600M would be a drop in replacement and you would need no other hardware. You can find the processor for maybe $40 on eBay since there is very little demand for them. I generally try to steer people away from laptop CPU upgrades but this one costs little and will make an improvement in the video performance at the same time so go for it.

Max memory is 8 gigs DDR3-1600 or DDR3L-1600. I would get 2 modules the same to have dual channel operation.

CPU and memory upgrade procedure is spelled out in the Manual.
