i see @Paul_Tikkanen thank you for clearing that out however the part you have mentioned which would have worked for me is the same part i have bought haha and its not working and frankly i researched so much that i got tired and got off the net for a couple of days but now i need to look again.
my problem is that i can never find if the ram module is 2Rx8 or something else no one ever mentions it so i want to be a bit selfish and ask you that if i give you some model numbers could you confirm to me if those would work ? i wont waste much of your time 🙂

Yes, that is correct and on the memory label it usually indicates how many ranks the memory is...1R x 8, 2R x 8...
I'd see if two of these work for you...

@Paul_Tikkanen sorry to bother you like this again and again but i have found a couple of modules "i think" would be compatible so could you please check and confirm for me ?

Hi:
I had already found the same Samsung memory and recommend that as my first choice.
Look at my reply before the one you just posted.
The Corsair Vengeance...has a faster timing speed than CL19 (which is what HP would have installed in your notebook if they installed a DDR4-2666 MHz chip) and may not work.
The other two are 1R x 8 and may also work.
