Product: HP PAVILION 15bc021tx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to upgrade my ram to 12 gb or 16 gb for my HP PAVILION 15bc021tx for better performance. can i use 1x 4 gb stick + 1x 8 gb stick or 2 x 8 gb stick?

 

Please help.

Hi:

 

For best performance install 2 x 8 GB.

 

Memory doesn't run in the higher performing dual data rate mode when it is installed in mismatched capacities or a memory slot is empty.

I selected the India website so you can see where you can buy the memory from.

The kit I recommend for your notebook from that report, is this one...

Your PC can only run the memory at 2133 MHz, so there is no point in buying faster memory that 2400 MHz.
