this evening I was doing a backup of my phone when suddenly my usb c port stopped working. how can i trubleshoot the problem? i tried to change the cable and to plug other devices but no one seems to work. i also tried a fast hardware diagnostic and everything seems to be ok. also tried to reboot the pc without any result.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the USB C port is not working on the computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you update the BIOS and the chipset driver from the below link and check if it helps.
BIOS: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp106001-106500/sp106010.exe
Chipset: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp105501-106000/sp105787.exe
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
