hello all:)
I have set my power opitons to "do nothing" when lid is closed and to sleep after 15 minutes. Issue is, i have never been able to use my usbdevices to wake up the netbook.
Under device manager i have confirmed that all my devices have the "allow this device to wkae the pc" option checked under power tab.
I even tried to check it under the root usb hub but it is grayed out.
I checked bios but nothing there due to a very limited bios.
all drivers for my devices are up to date.
I even made sure that the "suspend usb" under advanced power plan options was disabled as well.
thanks

@LT72884 Welcome to HP Community!
I see from the post that you are having issues with Waking up from USB Hub. Don't worry I'll be really glad to help you with this,
After reviewing your post, I see that you are able to wake the computer from sleep normally only issue is with the external HUB, this could be due to hardware functionality is designed such a way that the options are greyed out.
HP PC's uses a customized BIOS setting (Tattooed BIOS) of which some features are locked.
This is done in the best interest of safeguarding the PC for the optimal performance and not to cause any extensive component failure.
I suggest you update the Bios from Here.
Also, try these steps once again.
Go to Control Panel > Select Power Options > Click " Change Plan Settings on the right " > Change Advanced Power Settings > Look for USB Settings > Expand the list and Disable “USB selective suspend settings” for both on Battery and Plugged In.
Also ensure that the Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available.
Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried those steps multiple times with no luck. Even the onboard keypad and keyboard do not wake it up. I always have to use the power button.
I have made sure its not hibernating as well. Sometimes the onboard keyboard wakes it up, but its random
