Hi I recently both an adapter that connects as a USB-c and has an HDMI & USB 2.0 port. when I try to connect the adapter on the laptop, my monitor doesn't detect signal from the HDMI, but when I plug a phone on the USB port on the adapter it only charges it does show my phone on file explorer and when I insert my mouse on the docker it works, I have tried updating my drivers but still it doesn't work. can somebody please help me.

(1) Your notebook has a Basic USB Type-C port. I assume that it can therefore only be used for charging.

See the explanations below.

(1) USB Basic Type-C
(1) DisplayPort
(1) VGA
(1) RJ-45/Ethernet

Use <DisplayPort to DisplayPort> cable if your monitor/tv supports DisplayPort

or

Use <DisplayPort to HDMI adapter>
