When I try to use a usb transmitter based wireless mouse (plugged into the usb A port) the mouse is very erratic. I have tried two different mice (one from Microsoft and one from Logitech), and both are very 'jittery' on the Spectre x360, but work flawlessly on my Chromebook. One of the mice allows both usb wireless and bluetooth connections, and when I remove the usb wireless transmitter and connect it by bluetooth it works great. I always understood that usb wireless mice are much more responsive than bluetooth mice, so I'm wondering if this is an issue with the usb A port or drivers on my Spectre? Has anyone else had a similar experience or found a solution?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Let's do a BIOS update: https://www.google.com/search?client=opera&q=bios+update+hp&sourceid=opera&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
Let's create a new user account to see if that helps: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/4026923/windows-10-create-a-local-user-or-administrator-acc...
Let me know if this helps.

Bios is up to date and creating a new user account didn't effect the jumpy performance of the mouse when connected to the Logitech unified transmitter inserted into the usb A port. The mouse works fine when connected by Bluetooth. The mouse works fine when I plug the transmitter into the usb A port on a second Windows 10 laptop and that of my Chromebook. I'm thinking I have a buggy usb port.

I have three pair of bluetooth headphones (Jabra 75t, Bose Quiet Comfort 35ii, and Sony WH-1000XM3). Each pair works great on my Dell XPS 13 and on my Acer Chromebook, but on my new Spectre x360 each pair suffers from the same problem. Listening to audio (streaming such as YouTube and Spotify, and also music stored on my hard drive) the sound cuts out for five or six seconds every couple of minutes. The odd thing is that this only happens when I'm running on battery power. If I plug the laptop into the AC adapter the bluetooth headphones work fine. I updated all drivers, ran support assistant, did an HP cloud recovery reset, and even went into device manager and made sure there were no 'turn this device off when not in use to save power' options set for bluetooth or network devices. Occasionally when the sound cuts out the keyboard and mouse also stop responding for a few seconds, but again, this only happens when running on battery power, never when it is plugged in. If I am typing and the sound cuts out and the keyboard stops responding, then as soon as I move the bluetooth mouse, voila - the sound and keyboard function returns. I have tried two different bluetooth mice. The laptop is only a few weeks old so I was thinking of returning it, but I would like to try to see if I can resolve this first.
