i am buying this for my dad and want to stick an m.2 in as well. manual says dual HDD's but then picture shows a adaptor is used in the HDD bay.

Hi,

Yes you can add an M2 SSD to the notebook. It supports M2 SATA3 SSD such as the M2 Samsung 860 Evo or similar and much faster M2 PCIe NVMe SSD such as the Samsung 970 Evo or similar. You can get of your desired capacity (no limit).

Your welcome. Before buying the drive take another look and make sure the slot is there, It happens sometimes that models that did not come with an M2 SSD are missing the physical slot on motherboard.
