Hello, I play a lot of games on my laptop and was interested in buying another internal SSD.. I just don't want to buy it without knowing for sure I can install one and I'm too scared to open the laptop and explore, especially if I don't even know what to look for... would anyone be able to help me? has anyone with my laptop been able to add an internal storage device?

Hi:
Your notebook already has a 512 GB NVMe SSD which is the fastest type available nowadays.
Your notebook has no support to add a second NVMe SSD or a 2.5" SATA SSD, so if you need more storage, you will have to replace the existing NVMe SSD with one having a greater storage capacity.
Your notebook's NVMe slot is PCIe Generation 3.0.
While a PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD will work, it will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds.
This chart provides the maximum SSD transfer speeds from the various PCIe generation SSD slots:
PCIe Speeds and Limitations | Crucial.com
Below is the link to your notebook's service manual:
Before removing the model SSD your notebook has, you have to first disable the Intel Optane memory in the Intel RST software and then if your notebook has a BIOS setting to enable/disable the Intel Optane memory, you then have to disable the Intel Optane memory in the BIOS.
See the last two sections at the link below for how to do that. RST software first, then the BIOS.

If you want a very good and reputable model 1 TB NVMe SSD, this would be the one I recommend:
