Hi All, i have a HP 15s laptop with a usb-c port that seems to be USELESS.....

i have tried before to use it as a display port using a usb-c to vga adaptor and being unsuccessful, i was advised by HP it does not support video out.
 so now, i have tried plugging in my Epson V39 scanner using a usb-c to usb adaptor and it still DOESNT work?????

i also have a 500g SSD in an external drive using a usb-c to usb-c cable and whilst the "Blue Light" illuminates on the enclosure, i cannot see the drive....
is there something i need to check or enable??

any help or thoughts gratefully received..

@Crewzar

Not all USB-C ports are the same. The USB-C to USB-C external drive should work because your machine has (1) USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port (supports data transfer).

You may need the firmware of your external USB-C drive.

Regards.
