Yes this (or equivalent) is the part you need:

FHD, for use in models with a non-touch screen (anti glare)798933-007

The cable is the same whether you have HD or FHD so an FHD screen would be a dropin replacement:

Its and LED 30 pin lower right connector. These really inexpensive panels tend to be OK but not super bright or crisp. You can use an IPS higher end FHD screen panel as long as it is the 15.6 inch LED and has the same cable connection on the back. You will pay a bit more for a true enthusiast laptop screen but in my opinion worth every penny.

You have an AMD A12 processor so max memory is 8 gigs per slot, 2 slots so 16 gigs total.  Manuals says this:

DDR4-1866 dual channel support (DDR4-2400 bridge to DDR4-2133, and DDR4-2133 downgrade to DDR4-1866)

But the specs say your laptop came with a 4 gig and a 2 gig so 6 gigs total running in DDR4-2133 speed. The memory to be installed is DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM. So I am reading that to say if you put in 2 x 8 gig DDR4-2400 you will be running dual channel at 2133 speed. If you put in a single 8 gig module you will be running at the same speed, but single channel. I would not be shocked to hear it runs at 1866 speed in dual channel mode as I know that to be true on A10 and lower models.

thank you for the info. looks like im getting the G.Skill 16gb (2x8gb) 260 pin SO-DIMM ddr4. should see quite a boost in performance coming from the 6gb. also installing a 240gb kingston ssd along with its 1tb hdd. also is it possible to upgrade the display from the 1366x768 display to a 1920x1080 panel?
