According to the memory upgrade specs on the support page the PC supports a maximum of 2 x 8 GB of DDR4-2400 memory.
HP Pavilion 27-xa0001ur All-in-One Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Support
If you want to install more than 2 x 8 GB of memory you can run this command to see if that would be possible.
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. After the command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and press the enter key.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
Note that installing a 16 GB memory bar along with a 8 GB memory bar will change the memory performance from dual channel to single channel.
In order for the memory to run in dual channel mode, you have to install memory in matching capacities (2 x 4 GB, 2 x 8 GB, 2 x 16 GB...).

I got these numbers 33554432 and \ 1,048,576 = 32 and do I understand correctly that this is the maximum capacity that can be installed in my system, 2 modules of 16gb each? thanks for the clarification

Yes, that is correct.
Your PC should support 2 x 16 GB of memory.
The Crucial memory report for the PC also indicates that it will support 2 x 16 GB of memory:

Based on the specs, your HP Pavilion All-in-One - 27-xa0001ur can support a maximum of 32GB of RAM. Since you currently have two 8GB modules installed, replacing one with a 16GB module should work just fine! 😊 Just make sure the new module matches the specs and you should be good to go!
