hi, my laptop has a swollen battery and i cant find any batteries on hp parts and part surfer.
so i started searching for it on other sites but the problem is there are 5-6 codes/numbers that seem like they might be important, i would like to know which ones are important and what i should look for in other sites and ebay to make sure the battery is what works for my laptop.

i would also really appreciate if someone would explain the difference between 917678-171 and 917678-1B1.

heres a picture of the battery and whats written on the battery:

SR04XL
917678-171

HSTNN-IB7Z
15.4v 70.07Wh 4550mAh

and on the top right : 917724-855

Hi @alishmass

The difference between the two numbers is what is called supercession.

Supercession is when something takes the place of or replaces something else.

The 91774-855 number is the HP part number which has superceded the old part.

Here is the part on Amazon.
