Hi,
Can somebody point me in the right direction for a replacement Top cover and Base enclosure for my HP Envy 17-j130ea. (Out of warranty)
A relative slammed the lid down which snapped a few screws because of the stiff hinges. Now, whenever I open and close the lid, it pulls the top cover away from the bottom and leaves a 2cm gap. The laptop fuctions perfectly as I have taken very good care of it and I don't want to have to buy a new laptop just yet. This laptop should give me at least another two years.
I can't seem to find anywhere online that offers these parts. I did however notice that this seems to be a common issue with this model.
I'm reluctant to spend more money buying a broken machine just for these two parts until I have exhausted all other options. Any advice would be much appriciated.
Here are the part numbers for the items I'm trying to source:
TOP COVER: 603793-001
BASE ENCLOSURE: 603792-001
Thanks
