Hi,

This is the battery your need:

3-cell, 45-Wh, 3.83-Ah, Li-ion battery          part number 816238-850

I see it is not available in HP parts store in the UK, however you can purchase from these official HP parts resellers:

https://shop.procurrieurope.com/Search/816238-850

https://it.eetgroup.com/i/816238-850-HP-Inc.-Battery-3-Cells-45Wh-3.83Ah

https://www.convena.com/en-gb/816238-850_hp-batt-3c-45wh-383ah-li-vr03045

or you can perform a search with part number to find elsewhere:

Example:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=816238-850&_sacat=0

On page 28 you can see the steps to replace the battery. It is not so complex and I will explain below. However, if you do not to wish to replace yourself, I would bring to local computer technician to have the job done (bring the battery with you).

So basically what you need to do is remove bottom cover (page 26 of service manual) and remove and replace battery (page 28).

Thanks, this help was great with clear and concise instructions.  I changed my battery in about 30mins and it's just charging to full power.  I had to get a replacement original HP battery from a company called PSA Parts ltd as the companies listed didn't have the required battery in stock.  PSA delivered in less than one week and the battery was brand new with a manufacturing date of 2019.  The cost of the replacement battery was £117, which seemed reasonable.

Correction, i am in London. The model is hp envy laptop 13-ad0xx

I used a company called PSA Parts and they are based in London.  They delivered via DHL in less than a week and they supply original HP batteries.  The website is psaparts.co.uk
