Modern laptops have the CPU soldered to the motherboard and you cannot change it or upgrade it without replacing the whole motherboard. It is just not done as the cost of a motherboard and the work and effort to do the replacement is just not worth it for the very minor upgrade it would produce. And more fundamentally the processor you ask about is a desktop processor which would never fit in a laptop.

Thank you for answer! The fact is that the processor of my laptop has failed. Is it safe to say that my computer is beyond repair, and if it is, then there is no point in fixing it anymore?

Its pretty rare for a processor to fail but not impossible. In this case what it means if true is that your motherboard has failed. If the laptop is under warranty HP would of course repair it but if you have to pay for it you will find a motherboard replacement would cost very near the price of a new laptop.
