Hello @Shadowflame
You can choose the brand of your new RAM but it's recommended that it's the same. Your new one must be the same as your current one:
- DDR4
- same speed/frequency 2133 1066 Mhz
You can check the current frequency of the RAM, the current brand and also if your PC supports more than 8 GB by using AID64 software >> http://download.aida64.com/aida64extreme_build_4557_mv3fjhs6wt.zip
You can buy the memory from a reputable local tech store, order it online or check the HP Parts Store >> http://partsurfer.hp.com/
