The specs of your machine is

It has  256 GB Intel® SSD for hard drive. This Intel product actually has 16GB for Optane and 256 GB for SSD, BOTH are physically on one unit. Optane and SSD will run as RAID.

Any way to turn off RAID or change to AHCI, run Clonezilla to do image, then turn RAID back on?  Is RAID software/firmware/hardware?

My laptop doesn't have Intel Rapid Storage Technology software, do you know what version I would need to do what Intel site instructions cover?  I only have the Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management software?

Never mind, now my current Intel software shows the disable button that you mentioned.  I swear it wasn't there before, don't know how it changed.  Does HPs BIOS have the selection to disable RAID?  I didn't see that in my BIOS?
