17-f113dx is the model and the specified 4 gig module is:

4 GB memory module 691740-005

The specs of the HP Part number module are the same as the Kingston you ask about. DDR3L-1600 So-DIMM 1.35 volt single rank.

You have obviously already figured out that memory upgrade requires extensive disassembly including removal of the motherboard. So, to answer you question directly and simply: yes you can use that module to upgrade your laptop.

Good luck. Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.

Thanks for your reply. Yes  it was a task to disasemble the laptop I disasembled before making this post. I figure since my fan went out on mother board might as well add some ram. Now the fun begins putting it all back together in a few days when ram arrives.  So thanks again for your reply. Merry Christmas
