Hi @Yogeshvictus,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand that the Windows key on your HP Laptop – 15s-gy0001au running Windows 11 is not working. We’re here to help you resolve this issue.

1. Check for Physical or Keyboard Lock Issues

  • Ensure the Fn (Function Lock) key isn’t accidentally locking the Windows key. Some HP laptops include a Windows key lock toggle:
    • Try pressing Fn + Win or Fn + F6 to toggle the Windows key on or off.
    • If your keyboard has a lock symbol on any key, try pressing Fn + that key.

2. Run the Windows Keyboard Troubleshooter

  • Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  • Scroll down and run the Keyboard troubleshooter.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.

3. Update the Keyboard Driver

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  • Go to File > Run new task, type devmgmt.msc, and press Enter.
  • In Device Manager, expand Keyboards.
  • Right-click your keyboard device and select Update driver > Search automatically.

4. Test with an External Keyboard

If available, connect a USB or Bluetooth keyboard. If the Windows key works on the external keyboard, the built-in keyboard may need service.

5. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Power off the laptop.
  • Unplug the charger and remove all external devices.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Plug the charger back in and power on the device.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
