OMEN 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-en1000 (2L1F2AV)

I have been facing this issue "Windows has stopped this device" for my graphic card RTX 3060 on my HP Omen 15. I went to the Service center in  India and they told me its an hardware issue and it needs a motherboard replacement which costs a whopping 1 lac rupees. I wanted to check with them why this issue occurred in the first place but they don't know. The technician told me we have seen this issue on multiple laptops but the only resolution is replacing the motherboard.

My laptop is just 2 years old, HP Care doesn't have a clue on why this issue occurred and they want me to pay 1 lac to fix it on a laptop that costs almost the same. I contacted the CSS Service head, they were of no help either. They told me to get a new laptop by paying full money and sell this off to a third party.

I am not sure what to do now.

Hi @harshdhy,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The "Windows has stopped this device" with code 43 for your RTX 3060 could be related to a variety of factors, including driver problems, hardware malfunctions, or conflicts. Unfortunately, the service center suggested a motherboard replacement without providing a clear explanation for the issue.

Here are a few steps you could consider:

Driver Update: Ensure that your graphics card drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the official NVIDIA website.

Windows Update: Make sure your Windows operating system is fully updated. Sometimes, Windows updates can address compatibility issues.

Check for Conflicts: Check if there are any conflicting software or drivers that might be causing the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
