Hi:

What happens when you click on the 'Fix Issues' button?

Another way you can try to get the latest update would be to make a USB installation flash drive with the media creation tool from the link below.  You need an 8 GB flash drive.

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

After the media is created, don't boot from it.

Just click on the USB flash drive in 'This PC' to view the files.

Click in the setup application to begin the update to the latest version of W10 (21H2).

have flash drive , not sure how to transfer it over to the drive. tried to copy the link no luck

The media creation tool will automatically create a bootable USB flash drive for you.

Click on the blue Download Tool now button.

Run the tool exe file.

Follow the on-screen prompts.

When it gets to the screen that asks "What do you want to do?

Select Create installation media.  Click Next.

Have your USB flash drive in the PC's USB port.

Use the Recommended options for this PC.  Click Next.

Select USB flash drive.  Click next and the W10 installation media creation will begin.

After the USB installation media has been successfully created, go to this PC.

What is the full model number or product number of your notebook?

Perhaps there is a BIOS update you can install so that it can run the latest version of W10.

Use this guide for how to find that information.

Hi:

There is a recent BIOS update for your notebook.

You may want to update the BIOS to that version if you have not done so already.

Make sure that the battery is at least 50% charged and that you have the notebook plugged into A/C power and have no peripherals connected to it (usb devices and whatnot).

Updating the BIOS is risky, so hopefully all will go well if you decide to do it.

Ok,  risky how?   and how do I do this and what could the consequenses be?

HP Recommended

You just download and run the file.

Follow the on-screen instructions to update the BIOS.

Risky how?

If the update fails for some reason, your notebook will be useless.
