hello when I tried to fire up my 8570w elitebook it gave me the triple blank code on the caps lock and the num lock key. from looking it up this is a memory module issue failure.
they're 32 gigs of RAM four sticks installed in this laptop. I took all of them out and tried cycling them all through slot one. when I did this it would not even give me blink codes or fire up at all the power lights would come on but I would get no blink codes.
I have tried seating and changing the ram around in different configurations and have sometimes got it to give me the triple blink code indicating a memory module failure but it seems to follow no rhyme or reason.
in one instance I fired the computer up and got it to give me the triple blink code indicating the memory module failure I then cycled the power and it would again not give me the triple blink code without me changing any hardware components
can someone give me some advice on what's going on?
is it something to do with the actual ram slot itself I have inspected the board and all of the traces look fine making contact to the board.
