My HP Spectre x360 is completely dead and will not charge. I have read from various sources that this is most likely a motherboard issue and that multiple people have had this issue. I bought this laptop back in December of 2017 for a substantial $1600. That means that a $1600 laptop only lasted a little over a year with HP knowing they had this common issue with these models and did nothing about it. I have gone through all of the recommended troubleshooting. What's next?

@CalebD64 Greetings from the HP Community!
Could you tell us what you mean by "recommended troubleshooting"?
Please elaborate, so we don't repeat the same steps.

If the above doesn't help or the steps are insufficient, check the below steps:
Let's start with a hard reset of your notebook computer before you try any other troubleshooting steps.
Reasons for a hard reset
A hard reset has the following effects:
-
Clears the memory.
-
Reestablishes the connection between the BIOS and the hardware
The following conditions can be helped by the hard reset:
-
Windows stop responding.
-
The display suddenly goes blank.
-
The computer does not wake from sleep or hibernate modes.
-
Software applications freeze or fail to respond.
