Unfortunately, there is no way that I know of to find the product key in the BIOS without having Windows installed.

Your notebook should have come with Windows 8 single language 64 bit.

You may be able to determine what version of Windows 8 your notebook came with by entering the serial number in the box at the link below, and you will get a parts list and it should indicate what operating system came with the notebook.

Once you replace the hard drive, I can give you a way to reinstall Windows 8.1 for free by using the Windows 8 product key in your notebook's BIOS.
