HP ENVY x360 - 13-y013cl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had some problems so rather than trying to fix them I decided to just run the image from a previous save.

Now it won't boot. It just goes back to the same screen. I made a usb flash boot disk from a different source disk and computer as i have no other computer. It will not boot as well.

Any solutions? Thanks.

Edit- set it to boot with usb.

**edit - win 10 now installing on new hard drive. It required that i boot from ESI? File on the usb dvd install disk.  Next I will run true image again to, hopefully, get all my files and programs back.

Ntorskrnl not found 0x0000089 was the initial error.

I ran diagnostic but found a couple SSD tests were "not available" dst I think it was

You have to repair your Bootloader.

Download "Media Creation Tool" and prepare a USB-Bootdisk.

Run this medium and start the Setup. On the 2nd page you find in the left corner at the bottom a button "Computerrepairoptions". Click that and go to advanced Options and select Command Prompt.

Type:

bootrec / rebuildbcd
bootrec /fixmbr

 The problem should be solved.

How can i do that when this is my only computer?  I have an andriod phone can it be used somehow?

Also, i used a windows 10 installation disk and that wont even boot up. It just goes to that blue screen.

Edit - there is also this issue:

"I ran diagnostic but found a couple SSD tests were "not available" dst I think it was"

There was no pass or fail just "not available" for all the dst tests.

It's not possible to use an android phone.

Windows 10 installation disk: What is that CD-Rom or USB?

If it goes to the blue screen, you did not change the boot options!

I did change the boot order for usb key or diskette then tried usb cd/dvd external drive.

I think it's a hard drive failure. All DST tests return "not available" however passes all other HD tests.

This is not a hard drive error.

List the files from your USB-Boot-Stick.

Well what does it mean when all DST tests are "not available". If the hard drive failed wouldnt that also mean that winload error?

I dont have a computer right now that i can see the files on the usb stick

.

Error 0xc0000098 is a Windows Boot Error also referred to as 0xc0000098 Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). This error code emerges during the system boot phase and indicates the fact that the system contains some corrupted Boot Configuration Data files. Here are few DIY methods that you can try to fix the issue:

Method 1: Rebuild BCD (Boot Configuration Data)
Method 2: Run Startup Repair
Method 3: Run CHKDSK command
Method 4: Run SFC scan
Method 5: Update device drivers
Method 6: Reinstall Windows

Hope it helps!
