HP Laptop PC 15-dw3000 (1A3Y0AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

After using the Windows reset feature to refresh my PC, it reloaded successfully and is functioning well. However, I'm encountering an "Activate Windows" error that won't go away. When I attempt to activate it, I receive the message: "We can't activate Windows on this device as we can't connect to the organization's network." This is incorrect, as the PC is on the organization's account, and I can access all resources. What can I do to fix this issue?

Hi @PSir,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you’ve performed a Windows reset, and now your PC is asking you to activate Windows by connecting it to an organization. I can imagine how confusing and unexpected that must feel. This message usually means that the Windows license on your device is managed by your organisation, and certain activation functions are restricted. In this case, only your organization's IT team or administrator can enable and activate Windows for you.

I recommend reaching out to your IT department — they’ll have the tools and permissions to take care of this for you. Don’t worry, you’re on the right track, and they should be able to resolve this smoothly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
