Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Am stuck in a neverending loop with the Blue Bitlocker Roveny Screen. I do not have a key in Microsoft acct so please don't suggest that.  It won't allow me to reset or anything.

Then, there's nothing you can do to recover it -- as the Bitlocker keys are unique to each and every computer and HP has no record of them and is unable to retrieve that information for you.

Hello. Thank you for your message.  However, what does that mean? I just want to factory reset the laptop and start over, foregoing the notion of salvaging any files. The whole reason I got in this mess is because I couldn't remember the admin password that would enable me to change some settings. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I am even further from knowing what I'm doing than I thought.

So I guess my question now is how to do a "hard reset" because going through the steps of "Troubleshooting "
then "Advanced Options " then "Reset Computer" does not work. It loops me back to the dreaded blue Bitlocker Recovery screen.

My simple dream is to just have this laptop operable again.

I appreciate any and all help.
