Use this link.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp81001-81500/sp81142.exe
After you run that follow this info below.
That link only opens and places the install program into a folder on the C drive.
Open the C drive you will see some folders.
One is SWsetup, open it. You will see more folders.
One near the bottom is what you want SP81142.
Open that folder then click on setup. follow instructions.
That is the install program.
Good luck

After restarting click on link above. Make sure you give it permission to install and make changes to your computer. Then it will start installing the program. After you hit finish go to the File picture in your Task bar. Click on THIS PC. Then double click on C:Drive. Look for SWSetup and double click. Locate SP81142 and double click. Double click on setup.exe NOT HPSetup.exe. It will run you through the same steps as before but this time it will install the actual 3D Driveguard. RESTART computer. You will have to resubscribe to SMARTFRIEND if you had it before.
Hope this helps the non-tech people.

I also got the message to update the app for hp accelerometer. But the thing is, i am running windows 10 version 1709.
When i updated windows with cumulative update amd64 based systems, i first was introduced then with the message, before that i didn't saw the error. So was it due to amd ?
