Hello,
I would like to ask if it is possible to roll back the BIOS in case of any issues after installing version F.25 on my HP Victus 16-e0202nw (4P4C3EA). Currently, I am using a very old BIOS version (F.12).

I noticed that versions F.22, F.23, F.24, and F.26 all include the note:
“After this BIOS update is installed, previous BIOS versions cannot be reinstalled.”

However, this note is not present for version F.25.

I have already contacted HP support, but they could not provide a clear answer, as they were not certain themselves.

Maybe someone here has more information or experience regarding this?

Thank you in advance.4.jpg

The release notes don't indicate that you can't roll back the BIOS to an earlier version, but as I wrote earlier, the BIOS would only roll back to F.24, not F12.

If you are overly concerned about this, I don't recommend you update the BIOS if things are working fine.

Then you won't have to lose any sleep over it.

Hi:

Since BIOS updates are cumulative if you could roll back the BIOS from F.25, you would only be able to go back to F.24.

So, to confirm: is rollback on BIOS F.25 possible but only to F.24 (not to older versions)?

Or is rollback on F.25 not guaranteed at all?
