My BIOS didn't update to the newest version after I download this update file and run through update process.

My system information still shows the old version of BIOS (F.05 2022/9/12, should be F.05 Rev.A 2022/10/4).

And when I go to the HP website, it still asked me to update BIOS to F.05 Rev.A...

There is no error message during the update, and I've tried 3 times of update.😢

I was wondering whether this update file was the wrong one and it actually installed the previous BIOS in my computer.

Because when I looked into the setup file that the update program extracted into C:/SWSetup/SP142976, I found out that the modification time of the exe file is 2022/9/12, which is the release time of previous version of BIOS.

Please anyone help me with this. 😭

-------- (Below is less important thing) --------

The reason why I wish to update my BIOS is that I keep getting this error message (ACPI, event ID=13) in Event Viewer, and my computer usually crashes and restarts during sleep. I'm not sure if it is related to this problem.

(The message in English is:  The embedded controller (EC) did not respond within the specified timeout period. This may indicate that there is an error in the EC hardware or firmware or that the BIOS is accessing the EC incorrectly. You should check with your computer manufacturer for an upgraded BIOS.)

Also, if any HP engineer can see this post, I was quite annoyed by the fan being ragged(?) at low rpm... That ragged sound was really noticeable at quite environment and distract me a lot...(like the fan was speeding up and slowing down regularly in 1-sec of period.) I would rather have it run at higher rpm with louder sound but not the ragged one. I hope the new BIOS can improve this.
