I tried to boot the above Envy Notebook today (8th July) and the BIOS was corrupted. So I successfully flashed it via USB with the latest version, just published yesterday the 7th July.
It may have been a pure coincidence around the date but was there some vulnerability in the previous BIOS ?
("- Provides improved security of UEFI code and variables." ) Or is it more likely just to be my machine?
(I haven't used the machine in a week or more, it was in hibernation.)
Is there a changelog anywhere?

Sorry, there is no change log. Under fixes and enchancements within the BIOS Details on the software, the last three BIOS updates all indicate "Provides improved security of UEFI code and variables" or the like.
