Hello, I used to update my bios from hp support page: https://support.hp.com/tr-tr/drivers/hp-15-bs000-laptop-pc/model/17275122?sku=2CT86EA

However, I recently (i think) made a mistake by installing a bios update provided from windows update optional updates section. The bios version been installed is F.76 (07/24/2024), however I do not see this version the page I linked. Now I want to install the latest version from the page which is F.75 Rev.A (17 May 2024), but it says that it is not compatible. What can I do? The pc is:  15-BS035NT (2CT86EA)image.png

Hi @umitseyhan,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you have encountered an issue where the BIOS installer does not permit downgrading to an earlier version (from F.76 to F.75). Typically, BIOS updates are intended to move forward in version numbers, and installs don't support downgrades for safety and stability reasons.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

But the F.76 bios is not showing up on the HP Support page as available download and I am having problems with my mouse after the update. Is my only option wait for a newer update from HP Support, hoping it would fix my issue, if they ever release one that is?

Hi @umitseyhan,

Thank you for your response.

I understand you're encountering issues with your mouse after a BIOS update to version F.76, and cannot find subsequent BIOS updates on the HP Support page. There are still several steps you can take:

Check for Driver Updates: Ensure that all your device drivers, particularly the mouse and chipset drivers, are up to date. Use the Device Manager or the HP Support Assistant | HP® Support  to check for available updates.

Use HP Support Assistant: This tool can automatically identify and provide updates for your BIOS and drivers. If you don't have it, you can download it here.

Troubleshoot the Mouse: Use Windows Troubleshooting to check for software-based issues with the mouse. Search for and open the "Troubleshoot" settings in Windows, then select "Additional troubleshooters" and run the troubleshooter for 'Hardware and Devices'.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

No, it does not help. This is so doomed.

Hi @umitseyhan,

Thank you for your response.

To restore an HP laptop to its original factory condition, you can use the built-in Windows Reset feature or the HP Recovery Manager by pressing F11 repeatedly during startup. For Windows 10/11, go to Settings > System > Recovery > Reset this PC to choose between keeping files or wiping all data.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
