HP ENVY Notebook - m7-n109dx (Touch) (ENERGY STAR)

I followed instructions on how to update my BIOS from within Windows 10, from Insyde F.25 (2015) to F52 (7/7/2019). The update process was completed successfully, that is, it seemed to complete with no snafus. However, when I review the "System Information" in Windows 10, It still shows that the BIOS is F.25. So, I went through the update process again, with the same result. (BTW, I'm not using HP Support Assistant nor HP Hardware Diagnostic utilities because neither will run on this laptop. Assistant yields an "application services unavailable" error and the fixes listed don't work, and Dignostics flashes a "cannot access the specified path" error). I'm fearful of trying the "flash BIOS from a USB drive" method, ever since I turned an older computer into a doorstop using that method.

Am I correct, that F.52 is the latest BIOS available? Is there any reason that BIOS would not update on this model? Thanks for any suggestions.
