I've got a refurbished HP 6360b laptop without an operating system.

When I try to install Windows ( or any other system ) the HP doesn't detect the usb stick.

In BIOS the usb stick is ranked first and it definately works.

Can anyone help ?

@stijfvrijer,

Try to boot from F9 Boot Options Menu.

Turn on the notebook and immediately tap the F9 key rapidly for boot options. Select USB drive (or USB Hard drive) and click on the Enter key to start the installation.

Hello tk srq

I don't know how but, although it is still not going smoothly, it worked.

Perhaps I should check the quality of my usb sticks more closely.

Thanks for your help

Peter.
