Bought my pavilion in March. Less than a month later it won’t turn on or charge. Sent it out to a tech who confirmed what I already assumed. The battery had leaked causing corrosion and damage to inside components. I have a leather couch and where my laptop was sitting there is a stain from this. Laptop is still under HP’s 1yr warranty but they are fighting me on a replacement! I only used this laptop a handful of times in less than a month. No reason for the battery to have leaked causing damage not only to the laptop but to my furniture as well.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
