Beeping sound

I keep hearing a beeping sound about every 30 seconds during operation of my laptop.  Why is this happening?

I've run the quick tests on memory and hard drive, as well as hardware dx and everything passes.   The beeping sound is becoming less frequent.  Is this something that I should be concerned about?
