Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Are you getting hard drive error or BIOS error?
- Did you make any changes on the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
- When was the last time it worked fine?
- Have you made any hardware/software changes?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps:
-
Turn off the computer, and then connect the power cord.
-
Press and hold the Windows key and the B key at the same time, and then press and hold the Power button for 2 to 3 seconds.
-
Release the Power button but continue pressing the Windows and B keys. You might hear a series of beeps.
-
If the HP BIOS Update screen does not display, repeat the previous steps but press the Windows key and the V key. If the screen still does not display, your computer might not support the feature or there is a hard drive issue. Continue to the next section to Recover the BIOS using a USB recovery drive.
-
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

I have a black screen and my caps lock blinks 2x. I have opened up the back and disconnected the battery and done a power drain. I also pulled the cmos battery and plugged that back in. Windows and either b or v didn't work. I downloaded the f.19 bios version and created a usb. That allowed me to get to a screen that said it couldn't open the signature file. This laptop has been sitting for a while so I'm not sure how it got here. I believe it was due to an update.

The BIOS need to be flashed at an HP authorized service center. I recommend you contact support and they will assist you with the available service options for your computer.
Here is how you can get in touch with support.
