Hi @Trin12,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like your computer is stuck in the initialization phase of an HP BIOS update. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve this issue.

Restart Your Computer

  • Press and hold the Power button for 10-15 seconds until the computer shuts down.
  • Wait for a few seconds and turn it back on to see if it continues the update or boots normally.

Hard Reset

  • Turn off your computer.
  • Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, external hard drives, etc.).
  • Unplug the power adapter.
  • If your laptop has a removable battery, take it out.
  • Hold down the Power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and power adapter, and try restarting.

Perform a BIOS Recovery

If the system is still stuck, you can try recovering the BIOS using HP’s recovery tool:

  • Turn off the computer.
  • Press and hold the Windows key + B key, then press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds, then release the Power button while continuing to hold Windows + B.
  • If the BIOS recovery screen appears, follow the on-screen instructions to recover the BIOS.

Update BIOS Using USB

  • Download the latest BIOS for your system from the HP Support website.
  • Create a BIOS recovery USB drive and use it to update or recover the BIOS.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
