Bitlocker Key

I am unable to retrieve my laptop bitlocker key. I never registered my account with Microsoft and when I try to submit the serial number to register on Microsoft site, it does recognize the serial number. Seral number is correct, matched with HP account.

Have you checked if the key is stored in your HP account or with your organization's IT department (if applicable)?

I already registered my device on HP.com when purchased and activated but never found my device when checked recently. Again I re-registered my device HP Laptop PC 15-dy2000. Now I lost my bitlocker key and upon checking on microsoft site I didn't find my device registered.

I need help in retrieving my key.

If you've lost your BitLocker key and your device registration did not help you retrieve it from the Microsoft site, there are a few steps you can take to potentially recover your key:

Check Other Locations:

• Microsoft Account: Ensure that you are logged into the correct Microsoft account that was used to enable BitLocker. Check the Microsoft BitLocker Key Recovery Page again to see if the key is listed under devices.
• Printed/Saved Copy: Search for any printed or saved documentation where the BitLocker key might be stored. Usually, users print or save the recovery key during the BitLocker setup process.
