Spectre x 360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

How to unlock a hard drive encrypted originally by HP/windows 10 that came installed on the computer

Spectre x 360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Last February I bought a Spectre x 360 that came with Windows 10 at 64 already installed

In august there was a problem with power and the equipment was repaired by HP

During repair, that included replacement of battery and 2 air fans, HP asked me to replace the hard drive, because they could not test the equipment without that change. I accepted and paid for a new hard drive.

I received the computer and the old hard drive. Still not working. I went to a neighbourhood store and in 5 minutes they diagnostic the problem was with the electricity charger! Well, but the big problem is the next one:

In that shop I've asked to read and copy the data from my old drive what can't be done because it is encrypted, with a Bit locker thing:)

Claim again to HP, the answer is that I should have a key or a recover key.

I have nothing, because I did not install Windows 10 ( it was installed by HP). Never the system asked me about to do encryption. Never I introduced any code or password for it.

The only thing I did was to install Office 365 and to have a password as user on the computer.

I'm claiming HP about the encryption of the old hard drive but also of the new installed because again I did nothing on Windows 10 that came already installed.

And, HP Customer Service, sends me general documents that are online explaining how to recover bit locker key on Microsoft account, what has the wrong assumption that I encrypted it, when HP sold it to me already encrypted.

So I kindly ask 2 things:

1. How to get HP to unlock old disc encryptation that HP did when installing windows 10;

2. How to verify what is encryptation status on actual disc and how to unlock it, just in case;

Please help and excuse me. I don't use the right wording and technical terms, I'm just a user.
