Help after a forced update on my laptop I now have a screen that says "enter my Bitlocker number" we do not have one as my laptop came with windows already installed so how do I locate one?

I have looked in my microsoft account but I have no registered devices, I have done the shut down and reboot 3 times as suggested I do get the "recovering" message but then I go right back to the bitlocker screen lock.

If you do not have the Bitlocker recovery key, your only option would be to reinstall Windows on the drive.

But would HP have the number since they are the ones that installed windows?  Also, can I go to a repair place for HP and get my stuff off of it I can not loose what is on the laptop
