Hi @JReyes621,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for reporting this. The “Driver Verifier DMA Violation” blue screen error typically points to a problem with a driver that uses Direct Memory Access (DMA), often related to graphics, storage, or security software.

Step-by-Step Fix for Driver Verifier DMA Violation

1. Boot into Safe Mode

If the system crashes before login:

  1. Power off and on 3 times to trigger Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE).
  2. Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
  3. Press 4 or F4 for Safe Mode.

2. Disable Driver Verifier

Once in Safe Mode:

  1. Press Win + R, type verifier, and press Enter.
  2. Choose Delete existing settings → Click Finish.
  3. Restart your PC.

3. Update or Roll Back Drivers

Use Device Manager:

  • Right-click Start > Device Manager
  • Check for yellow warning icons
  • Focus on:
    • Display adapters
    • Storage controllers
    • Security software drivers
  • Right-click → Update driver or Roll back driver

4. Uninstall Recent Software

If the issue started after installing new software (e.g., antivirus, VPN, GPU tools), uninstall it via:

  • Settings > Apps > Installed apps

5. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

  1. Restart and press Esc → Select F2: System Diagnostics
  2. Run System Test and Component Tests

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
