Hello,
I'm working on someone's laptop, and the laptop is showing blue screen of death and I been all my research and I cannot go into the recovery environment or log in to Safe Mode. Nothing! Is there another factor or suggestion on how to fix this.
The laptop also shuts on and off then it goes to the bsod - recovery

Hi @Blueberry2010,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for the update. Since you're unable to access the recovery environment or Safe Mode, and the HP Pavilion Notebook - 17-g121wm (ENERGY STAR) laptop is constantly rebooting into a blue screen error (BSOD), we recommend performing a hardware diagnostic test to check for any underlying hardware failures.
Please follow the steps below to run the HP Hardware Diagnostics (Extensive Test):
Run the Extensive Hardware Test
- Turn off the laptop by holding down the power button for at least 5 seconds.
- Press the Power button to turn it back on, and immediately start pressing the Esc key repeatedly (about once per second).
- When the Startup Menu appears, press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI).
- On the diagnostics screen, select System Tests.
- Choose the Extensive Test and follow the prompts.
- This may take 45 minutes or longer, depending on the system.
- After the test completes, check for any failure ID/code.
- If you get a code, please share it with us so we can analyse it further and assist you accordingly.
Keep me posted with the result.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
