I am facing an blue screen error and it's stop code is 'WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR '. I have tried everything infact formatted by c drive to solve the issue. Also checked my bios is upto date or not, any kinds of bad sectors etc. But still my blue screen error is not solved yet. Hi @AS773,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
The "WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR" is typically associated with hardware issues. Since you've already tried updating the BIOS, formatting the C drive, and checking for bad sectors, there are a few other steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
Check for Driver Issues:
- Ensure all your device drivers are up to date, especially for critical components like your GPU, CPU, and chipset.
Run Windows Memory Diagnostic:
- Press Win + R, type mdsched.exe, and press Enter.
- Choose "Restart now and check for problems."
Check Event Viewer Logs:
- Press Win + X and select Event Viewer.
- Navigate to Windows Logs > System and look for critical errors around the time of the BSOD.
Stress Test Your Hardware:
- Use tools like Prime95 to stress test your CPU and MemTest86 for RAM.
Update Firmware/Drivers:
- Visit the HP support website and ensure all firmware and drivers for your specific model (HP Pavilion Gaming 15-Ec1000) are up to date.
Disable Overclocking:
- If you have any overclocking settings enabled in the BIOS or through software, disable them and see if the issue persists.
Check for Overheating:
- Use software like HWMonitor to check the temperatures of your CPU and GPU to ensure they are not overheating.
Reseat Hardware Components:
- If comfortable, try reseating your RAM, SSD/HDD, and other removable components to ensure they are properly connected.
Run System File Checker (SFC) and DISM:
- Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
- Run sfc /scannow and wait for it to complete.
- Then run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth.
Check PSU and Battery:
- Ensure that your laptop’s power supply unit (PSU) and battery are functioning correctly and providing stable power.
Windows Update:
- Ensure your Windows operating system is fully updated.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it might be a deeper hardware fault. I recommend you contact phone support.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
