Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello, I've just received a used laptop. When I go go boot it up, a blue screen comes on and says.... 

Recovery

Your pc/device needs repaired.   The boot configuration data for your pc is missing or contains errors.  File:\EFI\microsoft\recovery\BCD

Error code: 0xc000014c

What do I need to do to fix this please ? Thanks

Hi:

 

You will need to get a hold of or make your own W7 installation media, boot from it and use the repair options to see if you can repair the boot sector of the hard drive.

 

If you can't, then you will need to reinstall W7.
